As Amazon gets ready to develop its second headquarters campus in Arlington, over 1,000 new housing units are being built to prepare for the anticipated growth of the area.

The new development will be a part of the existing 36-acre RiverHouse site at the intersection of Army Navy Drive and South Joyce Street. The project will include two 6-story buildings with 750 apartment units on a site in between the existing apartment buildings. Construction for the new buildings is planned to begin next year.

The new space will also include courtyards and 30,000 SF of retail space on the ground floor of the buildings. The remaining 250 housing units will include townhouses for sale.

Henry Adams is providing the professional mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services for the two new mixed-use, multi-family buildings.
