VAMC Perry Point, Enhanced Dining

Henry Adams provided the MEP engineering design for the functional enhanced dining kitchen and serving areas in nine specific locations within six patient care buildings. The purpose of this project was to provide local food rethermalization on the hospital units for the veterans’ meals. The mechanical scope included HVAC modifications, plumbing modifications, and temporary piping and proposed routing of services to keep the system operational through or around areas of renovation work. The electrical scope included a redesign of the enhanced dining facility drawings to show the equipment being fed from normal power service instead of the current emergency power service for the eight enhanced fining facilities. The buildings included in the study were buildings 1H, 14H, 24H, 25H and 364.
