Knollwood Army Retirement Residence Health Services Center
The Health Services Center (HSC), a 35-bed residential nursing unit for seniors, sits on the garden level of the Knollwood Military Retirement Residence. Henry Adams provided the mechanical and electrical engineering services related to a renovation of 20,500 SF of existing health center spaces. The project updated an aging area of the building, providing a more efficient and open floor plan. Resident rooms were modernized and several new private rooms created. The facility committed to LEED certification and therefore mechanical and electrical equipment were replaced with new, more efficient equipment, including room fan coil units, plumbing fixtures and lighting fixtures. LEED processes and documentation were performed.
