UMMC 5th, 6th, & 7th Floor Fit-Outs

Henry Adams provided the design for upgrading the HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, automatic temperature controls, and medical gas systems for floors 5, 6 and 7 in the Weinberg Building. Total construction encompassed 90,000 SF for the Acute Patient Care and bariatric patient rooms, as well as negative pressure isolation rooms.

Design responsibilities included high levels of coordination with existing building systems and input related to concept design decisions. Installed a new air-handling unit to serve the three floors.

On the 5th and 6th floors the total construction encompassed 60,000 SF for the Acute Patient Care and bariatric patient rooms. Design responsibilities included high levels of coordination with existing building systems and input related to concept design decisions. Mechanical systems included in this design effort were HVAC, plumbing, medical gases, automatic temperature controls, as well as fire protection.

On the 7th floor, the design included 30,000 SF for a new Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities included design of the HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems.
