Baltimore County Office Building Boiler Replacement

Based on the results of an Energy Audit performed by Henry Adams, the County contracted with Henry Adams to replace two 1954-era steam boilers which serve the building heating water system and air handling unit preheat coils. Henry Adams performed a feasibility study to convert the existing fuel-oil steam boilers to natural gas or and to replace them with new high-efficiency hot water boilers. The Contract included full commissioning services from developing the commissioning plan, inspection and start-up, and performance testing. Hazardous materials testing for asbestos and radioactive materials was completed during the design phase in order to develop a remediation and waste disposal plan which was required for the boiler refractory brick.
